Green monster returns.

Just got done at the nail salon. Oh la la. I am starving! But since I am sick, I wanted to pump up the vitamins. My green monster contains: ice, 2 handfuls spinach, 2 tablespoons flax oil, 2 tablespoons white chocolate peanut butter and a frozen banana. I took it outside since it’s gorgeous out today!

Achooooooo!

I am still feeling under the weather but since I started working this week, I have been some what neglecting my house. So, today’s plan is to clean and organize and finish up some of my to-do list from work. I also think a mani-pedi will happen in there, too. It is Friday after all! For breakfast, I had an over easy egg on sourdough toast. I also had a small apple. I am sipping on some green tea right now. Hope you have a great Friday! Any fun plans for the weekend?

Baked chicken legs

I still feel icky so this will be brief. I baked chicken legs at 400 degrees for 45 minutes sprinkled with Badia garlic and parsley. Ron made a salad with spinach, radishes, yellow peppers and tomatoes with homemade balsamic vinegarette.

Won-ton soup for the soul.

I know. Soup again. I can’t help it. I feel like a bus ran over me. I also might have snuck a fortune cookie.

Feeling Icky.

I started feeling a little nasty yesterday so I slept a little extra this morning and grabbed breakfast on the road again. I had a medium skim latte and a whole wheat bagel with cream cheese. I am sipping on green tea now. Hopefully, this and the old school Madonna I am cranking will cure me. ;)

Best. Husband. Ever.

My husband is the best. He made dinner! We had roast chicken, rustic mashed red potatoes with fresh dill and steamed asparagus. It was so nice to come home and have dinner waiting for me! Thanks, honey! The real exciting thing is that I have the bones to make some homemade stock this weekend! Woohoo!

Lunch

Lunch was wonton soup and veggie dumplings. It was so tasty!

Self-restraint

On my way to work this morning, I grabbed a whole wheat bagel with cream cheese from Dunkin’ Donuts. While there, I also grabbed a medium nonfat, iced latte that I sweetened with splenda. I only ate half of the bagel and had this beautiful Pennsylvania apple. I am now sipping on some green tea from home since I feel the sniffles coming on. I hope you all have a great morning.

Pork chops and Glee!

I got home and whipped up something yummy and quick. Mmmmm…dry rub pork chops. We also had salad. Now, I am parked on the couch ready for American Idol and Glee!

Grilled cheese and chili

Quick lunch at my desk today included grilled cheese on wheat and a white bean chili. Got to get back to my new job!
