Last week, Ron turned 45. In celebration, we had a party. Ron’s mother wanted to take us out to celebrate. We started with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa. It was called Warwick and was very flavorful and robust. As appetizers we split scallops and escargot. We also split some soup that was based on clams casino. It was light and buttery. We also had some salad.

For our dinners, Ron had duck and I had veal with wild mushroom risotto and black truffle sauce. OMG. As if all that deliciousness weren’t enough, we had chocolate soufflĂ© for dessert. It came with a side of berries and homemade Tahitian vanilla ice cream.

I am certifiably stuffed. What a lovely meal.
