Chicken

It is another busy night over here. Dinner was a salad and roasted chicken.

Chicken wings

After a long day doing yard work, we took a nap. Then, we were hungry. I grilled some chicken wings slathered with Bullseye BBQ sauce. Ron made his trademark salad.

Simple grilled chicken

Tonight, we kept it simple. I grilled chicken breast sprinkled with salt n peppa. Ron made a salad. We ate outside because it is cool and breezy.

Meh.

My new boss took me out for lunch today. While the conversation was good, the salad was not. I ate only half of it. The greens weren’t very fresh and there wasn’t much else in the salad. Bummer.

Shrimp and greens.

Quick and easy was the goal tonight. We marinate shrimp in lemon juice, olive oil and minced garlic. It was paired with our standard of salad.

Baked chicken legs

I still feel icky so this will be brief. I baked chicken legs at 400 degrees for 45 minutes sprinkled with Badia garlic and parsley. Ron made a salad with spinach, radishes, yellow peppers and tomatoes with homemade balsamic vinegarette.

Pork chops and Glee!

I got home and whipped up something yummy and quick. Mmmmm…dry rub pork chops. We also had salad. Now, I am parked on the couch ready for American Idol and Glee!

Pasta

It has been rainy and dreary here all damn day. So instead of grilling pork chops, I made baked artichoke and spinach pasta. Ron tossed together a salad. Lots of veggies. Tomorrow, I start my new job. So excited and anxious. Wish me luck!

Sangria with Serg

After breakfast I hung out at Starbucks to meet my Twitter buddy and UF alum, Sergio. We talked for 2 hours at Starbucks and then headed out to lunch. We dined at the Parish. It was quite possibly the awesomest. I convince Serg to split a pitch of white sangria with me. My salad was beyond. It was called the hot and cold chicken salad. It was salad with snap pes, chicken, greens and carrots on top of warm sticky rice. Oh hell yes. It was awesome. 2 more hours later and now I am back at the hotel. I did quite a bit of walking today, too. So, all in all- amazing. Tonight we’re doing seafood at the Union Chowder House. Nom nom nomming my way through Boston.

Dinner with the Kenyons!

In case you were wondering, Boston on marathon day is cah-Ray-zay. There are people everywhere! But we found a quiet spot to have dinner with my childhood friend Christine and her husband. We met at Vault and had a great time catching up. I had my favorite cocktail, a Kir Royale. Yum! For dinner, I had a Cowboy Skirt Steak salad which contained: skirt steak, green beans, red onions, romaine, cherry tomatoes in a light creamy dressing. It was tasty. Afterwards, we walked back to our hotel and grabbed some ice cream. We split this cone. The flavors were heaven ( vanilla, white chocolate and fluff), chocolate addict ( chocolate, chips, brownie hunks), and cookies and cream. Oh la la.
